Student Worker Positions
All Career Center student workers gain close access to the Career Center team, networking opportunities with employers and Pitt alumni, insights on job and graduate school searches, and chances to enhance their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and Handshake profiles.
Career Ambassadors
We’re seeking outgoing and enthusiastic students to join our Career Ambassador team at the Career Center! You’ll help tell student success stories and spread the word about our resources through tabling, presentations, social media, storytelling, and event support! Work closely with our team while helping students discover all that the Career Center has to offer! Position will be re-posted when openings become available.
Peer Career Coaches (PCCs)
We’re seeking energetic undergraduate students to play a vital role within the Career Center. PCCs support career counseling efforts by meeting with students during drop-in hours and are trained to review resumes and cover letters, use Handshake and other Career Center resources, and prepare for interviews. PCCs will also have the opportunity to represent the Career Center by giving presentations to classes, student organizations, and other groups. Communication Intern – LEARN MORE AND APPLY HERE!
The Communication Intern will play a key role in shaping the student experience at the Career Center by developing and implementing targeted communication campaigns to engage students. This position will offer a hands-on opportunity to create campaigns highlighting student success, promoting equity, and driving engagement. The intern will collaborate with our team to tell stories that resonate and contribute to a dynamic, inclusive environment.
Front Desk Student Worker – LEARN MORE AND APPLY HERE!
Greet visitors to the Career Center virtually, in person, or via the telephone. Answer questions from students, parents, employers and staff. Check in students for appointments and drop-ins. Answer/distribute emails received by the departmental email. Monitor and answer the departmental Chat. Retrieve departmental mail every morning and accurately sort and deliver. Carry out or assist Career Center staff with special projects, tasks, or preparation for the upcoming academic year.
