The Pre Health Resource Center offers advising for all undergraduate Pitt students planning to pursue advanced education in health careers.  Here are scheduling instructions for students interested in programs that require graduate or professional school such as:

All undergraduate majors will work for Healthcare careers with the right prerequisites.
Pitt has more than 30 programs – check all of them!
Look at academics as career experiments. Take electives outside of the standard track like public health, health policy, medical anthropology, disability studies, and nutrition.
Take writing intensive courses like bioethics, health communication, pr psychology to help you to clarify your values and reasoning skills as well as learn abut health dilemmas.
Commit to a project like a capstone, thesis or research assistantship to see if the deeper focus excites you or exhausts you.
Engage in courses that offer community engagement like the Exploration of Civic Engagement (FP 0008) or the Civic Learning Distinction

Build your communicaiton and analytic skills by initiating learning and converstations in clubs and other experiences.
