Veteran Students

Welcome!  This community is space for veteran students to access Career Center services and University support. You will find job search resources, ways to connect with on-campus groups, and strategies for identifying employers who respect and affirm people of all identities, orientations, and backgrounds.   These resources compliment the information provided in the Career Communities, where you will find resources for specific industries and areas of study.

As a veteran, you have established a unique set of  skills  and you have professional experiences that will prove valuable in the civilian workforce. Here are the  top 10 reasons employers hire veterans  according to hirevetsfirst.com.

In recognizing your strengths, we at the Career Center also appreciate the challenges associated with transitioning back into the culture of civilian work environments. The Career Center is here to provide resources to assist you during this next phase of your career journey.

Below are just a number of ways we can support you:

  • Networking events specifically for our veteran and military students
  • Career workshops
