The Department of Music & Musical Theatre at SUNY Geneseo invites applications for an anticipated opening of full-time Lecturer in Music with specialization in Music History/Musicology and a secondary area in applied music teaching, to begin August 2024. The initial appointment is for one year and eligible for renewal The department offers a B.A. in Music with tracks in Performance; Musicology; American Music; and Music Business, Recording, and Production, as well as a B.A. and B.P.S. in Musical Theatre. The department also offers a variety of instrumental and choral ensembles open to majors and non-majors alike, as well as a wide variety of general education courses in music.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Musicology/Music History by August 2024; ABD considered
- Expertise in western classical music and American music sufficient for undergraduate teaching
- Evidence of potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working/teaching environment
