Title: Early Childhood Assistant Principal – Buckeye & Melridge
203 work days per contracted school year; 5 extended days
Qualifications:
• Valid Ohio State Board of Education Administrative License
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing early childhood general education, preschool programs, and special education
• Knowledge and application of Multi-tiered Support Systems (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; communicates accurately and effectively, both written and orally
• Ability to obtain and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• Ability to travel to and from local job sites in personal vehicles
• BCI/FBI fingerprint background check and proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
Reports to:
Principal and Executive Director of Student Services
Position Goals:
To provide leadership to students as they progress toward the fulfillment of their academic goals in a school setting which promotes intellectual, emotional,
psychological and physical well-being and maturation.
Terms of Employment:
Initial contract, two years; additional employment in compliance with O.R.C. Section 3319.081(A) and district Policy Section 3124.
