Qualifications:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to learn ALL aspects of heavy civil contracting
- Ability to pass a drug/background check prior to employment
- Candidates must be willing to work 40-60 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Interns will work directly with a project team (Project Manager, Superintendent, etc) to plan and execute heavy civil construction projects
- Interns will be taught how to read contracts, develop schedules, read project plans and specifications, perform material takeoffs
- Interns will be taught to track project progress, material usage, costs, etc using construction project management software
- Interns will be taught to operate entry level construction equipment by highly trained and experienced machine operators
- Interns will be taught basic land surveying and gain first hand experience using Topcon and Leica GPS surveying equipment
