Job description
Provide instruction and quality control in Subject courses:
- Operate reteaching and mini-lesson session in the Learning Lab during assigned hours
- Manage a caseload of students by checking scores and progress
- Communicate with lead teachers and administration about student progress and interactions
- Make appointments with student when there is evidence that they may need additional support and/or make appointments at student request
- Engage with SVS and TOR students to establish rapport and investment in the learning process
- Become familiar with all of Subject’s content in an assigned subject area
- Grade any submitted work not scored within 48 hours at most, preferably 24, using provided rubrics
- Complete periodic Quality Control checks on Spark auto-scoring; complete appropriate documentation related to quality of feedback and alignment with score
- Participate in norming exercises to ensure scoring consistency across content area
- Provide substantive, constructive, personalized feedback on student work when necessary
- Respond to all student and partner inquiries within 24 hours
- Use established protocols to report any errors or inaccuracies in the curriculum, materials, or rubrics
- Become an expert on material in Subject courses in assigned content areas
- Ensure all content meets Subject’s standard of quality
This is a part-time, contract role on 1099. Up to 40 hours per week. Hours will be daytime on EST, including weekends. You can set your availability.
