What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for an Air Permitting/Compliance Engineer or Scientist to become a long-term asset to our growing practice in the Midwest. You will complete technical work, including permitting, modeling, and compliance reporting for a number of industries. On top of technical work, you will have the opportunity to grow into client and project management, as well as technical team management. You can be hybrid out of the Overland Park, Kansas office in Kansas City. We are energized, growing, and fun to work with.

How you can make an impact

  • Air quality permitting and compliance; greenhouse gas emissions compliance; general regulatory compliance; various permitting for projects.
  • Technical work may include air modeling, completing calculations, reviewing compliance issues, preparing permitting documentation, reviewing data, regulatory contact and research, and report writing, among other things.
  • Client interaction and preparation of proposals will be required on an as needed basis.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of Science Degree or higher in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or Science required.
  • Minimum of 3 month of related experience in Air Quality, permitting and/or compliance required (internships and research/schooling experience will be considered). A minimum of 2 years of air experience is preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred for engineering candidates.
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required.

Pay Range

USD $46,000.00 – USD $72,000.00 /Yr.
