Position Summary:
Piton is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and enthusiastic Research Intern with experience in one or more of the following areas: molecular biology, microbiology, enzyme assays, and cell culture handling. As a Research Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a research team and contribute to cutting-edge projects. Candidates are expected to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment with a diverse team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in experimental design and execution under the guidance of senior researchers. Experiments range from basic laboratory techniques to cloning, bacterial, and mammalian cell culture.
- Provide general support to the laboratory operations.
- Assist in data collection and analysis using relevant tools and software.
- Maintain detailed records of the experiments and results. Prepare reports and present the findings in the team meetings. Strong attention to detail required.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and troubleshoot challenges.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a related discipline. Recent college graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Strong academic background with a passion for research.
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated, innovative, and creative thinker.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with senior researchers
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques is preferred
