Organic Synthesis Researcher

You will be responsible for the synthesis of bioactive small molecules in mg to gram scale. In this role, you will have opportunity to use existing advanced technology platforms to participate in drug discovery. You will have the opportunity to communicate with the experts from multinational pharmaceutical companies face to face.

Responsibilities

1. Designs and executes reasonable synthetic plans according to the project managers’ or VPs’ assignment.

2. Is independently responsible for challenging tasks. Timely delivers target compounds.

3. Independently solves synthetic problems. Proposes reasonable solutions or draws reasonable conclusions.

4. Regularly cooperates with project managers or VPs to report project progress to domestic or foreign clients.

5. Timely and accurately records English E-Note, prepares daily reports and final reports.

6. Timely summarizes and submits the experimental data according to company policies.

Qualifications:

1. A Ph. D degree or an MS degree in organic/medicinal chemistry with experience in organic synthesis, bioactive molecule/carbohydrate/nucleoside/glycolipid synthesis etc.

2. Extensive experience in organic synthesis and solid problem-solving skills; ability to propose synthetic routes to target compounds.

3. Demonstrates ability to work under pressure, sense of responsibility and team collaboration.

4. Capably coaches one or more junior chemists.

5. Fluent in reading and writing in English and Chinese; ability to effectively converse in English.
