As we expand our capabilities across the healthcare sector, we’re looking for a Healthcare Data Scientist to help analyze healthcare data, develop predictive models, and turn complex datasets into meaningful insights for healthcare-focused applications.
This role is a strong fit for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field.
Role Overview
As a Healthcare Data Scientist, you’ll work with structured and unstructured healthcare data to identify patterns, build analytical models, and support data-driven product development.
You’ll collaborate with data engineers, software developers, AI/ML engineers, and product teams to turn healthcare data into reliable insights while maintaining strong standards around data quality, privacy, and responsible use.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze healthcare datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Clean, transform, and prepare structured and unstructured healthcare data for analysis
- Build and evaluate statistical and machine learning models for healthcare-related use cases
- Develop predictive models for areas such as patient outcomes, risk assessment, utilization, and operational analytics
- Work with healthcare claims, clinical, patient, provider, or other healthcare-related datasets where applicable
- Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate findings
- Collaborate with AI/ML and software engineering teams to integrate analytical models into applications
- Validate model performance and monitor data quality
- Document analytical methodologies, assumptions, findings, and model results
- Support experimentation and continuous improvement of healthcare-focused product features
- Follow appropriate data privacy, security, and governance practices when working with sensitive healthcare information
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Healthcare Analytics, Public Health, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- 0–1 year of experience in Data Science, Healthcare Analytics, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Internship, research, academic project, or hands-on experience working with healthcare data is welcome
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, or similar data science libraries
- Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and machine learning fundamentals
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience working with EHR/EMR, claims, clinical, pharmaceutical, laboratory, or healthcare operations data
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, or SNOMED CT
- Knowledge of HIPAA, healthcare data privacy, and data governance
- Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, or other ML frameworks
- Familiarity with NLP and healthcare text/document analysis
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Exposure to healthcare analytics, predictive modeling, or clinical research
- Experience with Generative AI or LLMs applied to healthcare data is a plus
