In Vivo Biology Summer Intern (40 hr/wk)
RESPONSIBILITIES (Please remember that the students are undergraduates)
We are seeking an intern that is interested in learning about and contributing to a small
molecule inflammation research program. A successful candidate will be familiar with
immunology concepts and general lab techniques, including cell culture and human sample
handling. We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated and have a demonstrated
interest in cellular and molecular immunology research and drug development.
● Execute and analyze in vitro and ex vivo cell-based assays.
● Manage cell culture for primary cells, including human PBMC and whole blood.
● Utilize flow cytometry, ELISA, and other methods for data generation and collection.
● Work with Excel and Prism programs to process, analyze, and interpret data.
● Manage lab notebook, inventories, reagents, and responsibilities.
DESIRED MAJORS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS
● College-level biology courses and lab work, such as cell biology, immunology,
and/or molecular biology is required
● Practical experience in research lab setting, including pipetting, cell culture, and
sample handling in liquid nitrogen is preferred.
● Strong communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
Our interview process consists of interviews with the internship manager, 1-2 other team
members and HR.
