Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a strong background in healthcare IT to oversee and deliver complex technology projects that support essential healthcare operations and digital transformation initiatives.

This role requires a combination of project management expertise, technical proficiency, and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems, compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA), and interoperability challenges. As a TPM, you will bridge the gap between clinical needs and technical capabilities, serving as a central point of coordination among internal technology teams, engineers, data analysts, healthcare professionals, vendors, and compliance teams.

As a key driver of project success, you will lead strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient care, enhancing data interoperability, streamlining provider workflows, and ensuring regulatory compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA, HITECH, and CMS guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of healthcare IT infrastructure, data governance, and security frameworks, as well as a proven track record of managing projects from initiation through deployment. We are looking for a hands-on problem solver, an excellent communicator, and a proactive leader who thrives in a mission-driven, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment while possessing a deep understanding of healthcare systems, compliance standards, and interoperability challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clinical teams, developers, IT, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee technical teams to ensure quality deliverables aligned with business goals and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Monitor and report on project status, performance metrics, and potential issues to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations, including HL7, FHIR, and other data interoperability standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in healthcare or health tech.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical projects.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, standards (HL7), and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Experience with project management tool (RocketLane, MS Project, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
