Speech Language Pathologist

Per Diem (based on availability Monday – Friday between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm)

Per Diem SLP $50/hour

As a Preschool Speech Language Pathologist (“SLP”), you will help remarkable children with disabilities live their best lives. You’ll get the chance to support children with special needs in a year-round developmental preschool program.

What does a SLP at Arc Broward do?

This position is responsible for provision of quality speech/language therapy services including assessment, therapeutic treatment planning and service delivery using best practice treatment modalities for children with Developmental Disabilities to facilitate age-appropriate acquisition of speech, language, and augmentative communication skills, and oral motor and swallowing skills.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized treatment plans; monitoring the progress of each child; evaluating environmental conditions and ensuring that the physical and social environment promotes learning, independence, health, and stability; demonstrating and modeling effective and therapeutic intervention strategies which reinforce optimal learning and growth; and providing coaching and consultation to staff for continuity and generalization across settings; collaborating with all members of the Team.

What are the requirements?

  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Experience with children or adults with varying exceptionalities.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
