Pitt Business Retail Academy Fall 2026
This professional academy allows students to build their knowledge and confidence for a potential career in the Retail industry. Students will be exposed to key retail concepts and the diverse career opportunities that will help them prepare for a dynamic career. Functions and roles covered during this six-week program include Merchandising, Financial Planning, Supply Chain & Operations, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Product Management, and Technology integration with Business. Workshop Topics– Retail Operations Overview– Retail Math and How Performance is Measured– Merchandise Financial Planning instructed by American Eagle– Assortment Planning & Product Lifecycle Management– Digital Commerce & Marketing– Technology & Customer Experience– Selling and influencing training taught by American Eagle at their campus– Employee panel with American Eagle and Dick’s Sporting Goods representatives Student EligibilityAll sophomores, juniors, and seniors of any major within Pitt Business are eligibleScheduleThis program runs during the Fall Semester on Thursdays from 9/3 – 10/8Sessions will run primarily from 12:30 to 1:15 How to ApplyUndergraduate business students should apply on Handshake by searching the “Events” tab for the program name and following the directions after registering for the event.
